Ingredients:
1 (16 oz) bag frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced (or use sirloin if preferred)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or use a mix of provolone and mozzarella)
Optional: cheese sauce for drizzling
Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
Bake the Fries:
Preheat the oven and cook the fries according to the package instructions until golden and crispy. Set aside.
Cook the Steak:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sear for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Fries:
Place the baked fries on an oven-safe serving dish or tray. Top with the cooked steak, sautéed onions, and peppers.
Add the Cheese:
Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese generously over the top. Place under a broiler for 2–3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Optional Cheese Sauce:
For extra indulgence, drizzle warm cheese sauce over the top before serving.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot. These loaded fries are perfect for game day or a hearty snack!
