Appleasauce Bread

Never knew applesauce made bread this good!

You’ll Need:
  • 1 ¼ cups applesauce
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

  2. Combine applesauce, sugar, oil, eggs, and milk in a large bowl; beat well. Sift in flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt; stir until smooth. Fold in pecans. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.

  3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean, about 1 hour.
