Creamy Potato & Meatball Bake

A comforting dish with tender potatoes, seasoned meatballs, and a rich béchamel-cheese topping.

Ingredients

For the Meatballs & Potatoes:

  • 1.6 lbs (750g) ground beef

  • 1 white onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp (15ml) paprika

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 3 large potatoes, peeled and sliced into rounds

  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Béchamel Sauce:

  • 4 cups (1L) milk

  • 5 tbsp (75g) butter

  • 4 tbsp (48g) all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp (10ml) salt

  • ½ tsp (3ml) ground nutmeg
