Instructions:
1. Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
2. Cook the Sausage:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
4. Cook the Broccoli:
Add broccoli florets to the skillet and sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Add a splash of water if needed to steam the broccoli.
5. Combine & Cook:
Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
6. Serve:
Serve over cooked rice or quinoa and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired.
Chef’s Tip:
For even more flavor, marinate the shrimp in the honey garlic sauce for 15-20 minutes before cooking!
