What to Do After Defrosting
Once all the frost is gone:
Clean and Disinfect the Freezer
Use a natural solution:

1 part lemon juice
Dip a microfiber cloth into the mixture and wipe down the interior walls. This cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes the appliance.
Also:

Clean removable compartments and drawers.

Dry everything thoroughly with a clean towel. Avoid rinsing, as leftover moisture can lead to new frost forming.
